Biography: |
| | Vicki returns to the world of brush and canvas after an eight year absence spent running the Port Moody Arts Centre as Executive Director. She works in acrylic and watercolour media and strives to create art that is appealing, fun, full of life and a little different.
Say Nuth Khaw Yum or Indian Arm Provincial Park, located at Port Moody’s northwest boundary, provides much of her inspiration as she kayaks from her summer cabin at the far end of Indian Arm, photographs her son’s wakeboarding exploits or simply floats around in an inner tube on a sunny summer day!
Vicki’s previous work has ranged from commissioned portraits of people and houses, to wall murals, to images of Port Moody with a strong feel for botanical and historical subjects. She is a founding member of the Blackberry Artists Society and Show Co-ordinator for the Port Moody Art Association. Vicki studied fine arts at California State University at Long Beach and learned from many watermedia classes at various institutions . The professional workshops and demonstrations available to Port Moody Art Association members have contributed also to her variety of personal artistic styles.
You can find Vicki’s work year round at the Blackberry Gift Shop in the Port Moody Arts Centre, 2425 St John’s St, Port Moody, BC, Canada. |
